Asian Games Village

The Asian Games Village, located on the northern outskirts of the city of Beijing, was built in preparation for the 11th Asian Games, held in Beijing in the fall of 1990. The Asian Games Village is a large building complex equipped with sports facilities – including living quarters – as well as business and entertainment facilities. The main structure within the Asian Games Village is the National Olympic Sports Center, which consists of a gymnasium, indoor and outdoor courts, a sports stadium, various training fields, and a track. The National Olympic Sports Center also includes the Ying Tung Swimming Center and the General Sports Center, as well as a Sports Museum and the Research Institute for Chinese Martial Arts.

The living quarters and the commercial buildings are located at the northern extremity of the Asian Games Village. This massive building complex, which was built to be comprehensive, also includes an International Conference Center, various hotels, an apartment complex, a shopping mall, an entertainment center, and the International Primary School.
